ENGINE 7 IS A 1998 INTERNATIONAL 4900/PIERCE RESPONDER WITH A 1,000 GALLON TANK AND 1,250 GPM PUMP
It is primarily used as a reserve truck when one of our front line trucks gets serviced. It is currently housed at station 6.
1403 is a 2006 Ford F-150 XLT. This is primarily a utility truck used for our department. Overtime personnel will also use this truck to respond to emergencies when other trucks may be tied up on different emergencies.
This is a 2006 Kawasaki Mule 4x4. It is used for utility purposes around station one. Eventually, this will be used for grass fires as well as patient transport in secluded wooded areas.
Ladder 1 is a 1999 Pierce Dash truck. It holds 500 gallons of water and the ladder extends up to 75 ft in length, which is used for rescue and fire extinguishments. Ladder 1 responds out of Station 1 and covers all industrial areas as well as most residential neighborhoods.
Rescue 1 was just delivered to us in the Summer of 2006. It is a 2006 Pierce Dash Truck with Independent Front Suspension. It is used primarily for heavy rescue and vehicle entrapment. It responds out of station 1 on all vehicle accidents and special types of rescue.
1402 is a 2006 Ford XL F-450 dual axle truck. It has a 225 gallon tank on the back of it which is used primarily for grass fires. It can carry up to 4 firefighters and go off road with its 4 wheel drive capacity.
Both Engines 4 & 5 are 2005 Pierce Dash Pumpers that hold 1,000 gallons of water. They can both pump 1500 gallons a minute. Engine 4 is housed at Station 4 on Newtown Pike and Engine 5 is housed at Station 5 on Homestead Rd.
Unit 1400 is a 2006 Chevrolet Suburban 4x4. The Battalion Chief of each shift uses this vehicle as the primary incident command center on structure fires, vehicle wrecks, and any other major incidents requiring an incident commander. It is equipped with a thermal imaging camera, accountability board, EMS equipment, and other related items.
400 and 401 are assigned to the Chief and Assistant Chief. Both are 2007 Ford Expeditions 4x4.
Engine 6 & 8 are 2007 Pierce Dash Pumpers that hold 1,000 gallons of water. Each carries EMS equipment for medical emergencies as well as extrication equipment for enrapment in vehicle wrecks. Engine 6 will be housed at Station 2 in Sadieville once it opens up in winter of 2007. Engine 8 is housed at Station 1, replacing old Engine 9. Both engines will be used on Interstate emergenices since both stations are housed near I-75.
